Those hot summer days and steamy nights are so much better when you have a lovely clean swimming pool to jump into. But what happens when you fall behind with that dreary maintenance schedule? If you live near trees or have a few bugs that enjoy the swimming as much as you do, it can be a very strenuous activity to deal with. But in reality, you really only need to spend about 15 minutes each day, as long as you have the correct knowledge regarding your pool’s volume and additive requirements.
We have found 2 of the latest Smartphone Apps that know a lot about these things and they are just waiting for you to hit that download button. We’ve reviewed both of them and see if either happens to tickle your fancy or not?
The Pool Monitor Free – Free

This App will run on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and it will require iOS 4.3 or later for smooth running. This App also comes in a paid version but to be honest, we think the free App offers pretty much all that you would need to keep that pool gleaming all year around.
You get a very handy pool volume calculator that is essential for adding the exact amounts of pool care chemicals. There is also a very cool calculator that will tell you all about those all-important results. If any issues are noticed by the Pool Monitor, they are brought to your attention in a timely fashion. Each pool chemical is described fully here and you should soon pick upon the effectiveness and importance of each one. Far too many pool owners simply fling in a pinch of this and a few drops of that and wonder why their water looks like the Hulk has just taken a bath in it.
We love this App and reckon you have nothing to lose by downloading it now!
